The Queensland Gaelic Football and Hurling Association was first founded in the late '60s as an informal football club, and was officially affiliated with the National G.A.A. body in 1975. The QGFHA has grown from strength to strength since, going from 2 teams playing casually on a Sunday to having 6 Senior First Division Men's Teams, 4 Senior Second Division Reserves Men's Teams, 4 Senior Women's Teams, 3 Hurling Teams, 3 Camogie Teams, and also Children's GoGames.
