Gilbert Aide-de-Camp is owned and operated by Rob Gilbert, a Birkdale local for over 30 years. Rob is married with 3 children, and 6 wonderful grandchildren. Rob had a long career in IT as a Software Developer for over 30 years, contracting to many national and international companies. But too many years in the "back room" had Rob craving for work in the fresh air of the green outdoors. In 2014, Rob and his son ran a successful Gardening business until late 2016 when his son left to pursue other opportunities. So Rob sold the business, but he never lost the enjoyment of outdoor work. Rob was also cricket Groundsman for Wellington Point CC for the 2016-2017 season, and casual Groundsman assistant for Redlands Cricket in early 2017.Last print ad
